Dear Ex,

I know this isn’t really a letter, but I decided to start with “Dear” so shhh. Anyway, I’m not sure if you’ll read this or if you’ll even have the time for me or whatever, but I just want you to know this.

I love you more than there are stars in the sky, I promise. When I promised you I’d love you forever I meant it.

If the sun engulfs the Earth and all signs of human existence disappear, my love for you would still stand strong. It absolutely broke my heart when we broke up. I didn’t want to leave you, but at that time that’s what we both needed. We needed some space to get our lives back on track.

I don’t know about how you feel, but I honestly feel like you’re my soulmate. I’m sorry if you don’t think so, but I do. I imagined my whole life with you and I just can’t see myself with anyone else. I want my baby back, but I know that can’t happen. I don’t know what to do without you. You were my best friend. My happiness. And my sunshine. Not to mention, my whole world revolved around you.

I’m so lost now. I know you’ve decided we’re better apart, which I totally understand, and I’ll leave you alone I guess. I just wanted you to know that I miss you with everything inside of me, and I think about you every day.

I will always love you. I want to cry while typing this, but I’ll try not to.

I’m sorry for everything. I’m sorry if I hurt you. And I’m sorry if I were a terrible girlfriend. I’m so sorry. I know you’re going to go on and live a happy life being the hard worker I fell in love with.

All I can do is wish you the absolute best with everything you do. Your future is so bright. But if we never get to speak again, I want you to know that you forever have a piece of my heart with you. I love you.
