I'm a postgraduate, working at an IT company, earning a decent salary. I have a few friends but most importantly, my height is 4'9. Well, the reason it is important is because all my other qualities take a back seat when people interact with me. As I said, I have very few friends and that’s because of my appearance. But I never let it hamper my confidence.

I was in second year of my college when I met this best friend of mine, he became my world. We used to share everything with each other. After 2 years of knowing each other, we thought of getting into a relationship. But that was not a wise decision, we faced many problems, hence, we thought we should remain friends.

After that incident, my best friend kept flirting with other girls and dating them. And I concentrated on my career. We still used to talk a lot. Thankfully our friendship remained the same over the years.

Fast forward to 5 years later, my parents were searching for a groom for me. Unfortunately, everyone who came to see me rejected me because of my height. Some were not even graduates and some didn't earn even half of what I earned. But all they cared was about my height. I felt dejected.

My best friend stood like a rock with me all this while. Finally, I met a person who was actually interested in me and not bothered about my height.

We started talking, our families met and the date was fixed. I felt like he was perfect for me. Everyone was happy except my best friend.

He started behaving weirdly as soon as he heard the news of my marriage. He distanced himself from me. He started fighting with me for no reason. After many fights he told me that he loved me and he wanted to marry me. I did not know how to react, he never told me all this in all these years. Now I don't know what to do? I'm married now for 6 months, on one side I'm extremely happy with my new life and on the other I miss my best friend a lot.
