I Was Going To Settle For An Arranged Marriage But Then I Gave Tinder One Last Shot

We are living in those times where social media has become a boon to us! People like us have no time to go and meet friends in person, and social media should really be given the credit for keeping us close to our friends. I don’t know how many people reading this will agree with me, but social media leveled up when dating apps came into the picture.

It came as great help to all those like me who are genuinely looking out for someone. Office and home have kept us so busy that we don't have time to go out and look for someone. You can't exactly stand on the road and look for “The One”.

Well, I am an independent girl whose parents want her to get married, but somehow the idea of getting married to a stranger actually gives me chills! So I had a deal with them- they would search for a man, but so would I. And the best I could do was download dating apps. I am that dumb person, who downloaded Tinder right away, looking for a "serious relationship". And I met lots and lots of people who were looking only for casual hook-ups, and I was least interested. But still, I met a few sensible people.

Eventually, I got frustrated, but I did not give up. I downloaded another dating app. But the same thing happened again. I gave up. I thought I had to settle for an arranged marriage.

Somehow, I never deleted my account. And a few months later, I started looking for "The One" again. This time, I got lucky. I met a guy who was looking for a meaningful relationship and was great at conversations. We clicked instantly.

He is exactly the kind of guy I dream about. He is tall, handsome, respects people, and values relationships. It has been almost two months, and I know it's too early to say this- but I'm head over heels in love with him! I fall for him again and again, because of how he takes the "my girl" business seriously.

These dating apps may not work out the way you expect them to, but it did for me. Love can happen in any way, at any place, because destiny makes everything possible.

I used to hear stories about people meeting on dating apps, falling in love, and staying together forever and ever. Well, it happened with me too, and here I am writing my own story. I don’t know where is this going to take me, but all I am sure of is that the journey with him is going to be beautiful.
