Dear Boyfriend: Thank You For Being My Best Friend

Anonymous Anonymous in Let's Face It on 2 March, 2017

Dear Boyfriend,

Hi. It's me. That girl who fell in love with you months ago. They say that a relationship is the best in the beginning but soon, the love fades away. That's not true. The truth is that our grand romantic gestures in the beginning turn into the little things as time passes and we often forget to express how we feel about these little things. So, thank you.

Thank you for making me smile every morning, when you can't wait to meet me.

Thank you for chasing after me to steal some time for a conversation right in the middle of our busy schedules.

Thank you for offering your hand when I need the assurance that things will be okay.

Thank you for looking at me, when I have no lip balm on and my hair's a mess , and saying that I look beautiful.

Thank you for making me laugh as you don't let anyone make fun of me.

Thank you for looking at me, when I'm my plain self, and making me feel like the most beautiful girl in the world with your smile and your wink.

Thank you for walking me to my car everyday, even though you have to go in the opposite direction. Those 2 mins of conversation before I have to go, make my day.

Thank you for understanding me and giving me some time to myself, without asking me any questions about it.

Thank you for talking to me every chance you get. Someone with as busy a schedule as yours shouldn't even be expected to take time out but you always manage to do it.

Thank you for asking me about my day every night. It means a lot to me that you're interested in the little things about me.

Thank you for always apologising to me, even if it was my fault. You always seem to understand when I've had a bad day and you don't make me say sorry on top of it.

Thank you for leaving everything to cheer me up, if I'm ever upset.

Thank you for always going to bed after saying goodnight to me. And thank you, for repeating the cycle all over again, everyday.

Thank you for not just being my boyfriend, but my best friend and my soulmate. I'm sorry that I often forget to thank you for these little things but you know that you're always in my heart.

The Luckiest Girl In The World.

Share this story to thank him for doing something right. There's so much hatred against them anyway in this world.
