In September 2012, I was a 26-year-old single guy who had an MBA degree and was doing perfectly well in a real estate organisation in Gurgaon.

I met her over there. She was 39 years old, yes, 13 years older than I, divorced, and a mother to a 13-year-old girl. What started as a casual chat in the office evolved into a fling by March 2013.

We talked almost daily during office hours. She was new to real estate, and I was somehow doing extremely well professionally. I believe that was the moment she started feeling drawn to me.

On March 28th, in one of our late-night chats (non-sexual), she questioned why I only spoke to her, irrespective of the fact that there were many beautiful girls of my age in the office.

I confessed that I had developed feelings for her, and due to her past abusive marriage (which ended in 2002), I have a soft spot for her. And that was the beginning of our relationship.

She resigned from the organisation where we were working together and joined somewhere else. A month later, I also resigned and started my independent consulting firm in real estate.

During one of her business trips to Chandigarh in June 2013, we had a sex chat on the phone, and the next day I drove from Delhi to Chandigarh to meet her. For the first time, we got involved physically.

That day, I happened to glance at her phone and noticed she was in contact with someone of her age. They had a conversation that didn't sit well with me. She blocked him and promised that she would never talk to that person again.

Although we both were from Delhi, due to various reasons, we never had sex when we were in Delhi. Somehow time went by, and we went on many outstation trips just to spend quality time together.

However, I was always insecure in our relationship. She always did something that would lead us to fight.

In December 2014, she reached a point where she completely stopped communicating with me. We were together for about 18 months.

Later, when she needed me again, she reconciled with me, and we resumed our relationship in May 2016, which lasted for about a year.

She uses me professionally and financially, and she leaves me when she no longer needs me. This is my experience with love.
