"Chasing dreams soaring high requires wings that match the altitude."

These words struck a chord with me, and little did I know that they would become the anthem of my journey — a journey that took me from the highs of success to the lows of uncertainty.

My childhood was painted with mischievousness, laughter, and the warmth of a close-knit family — a vibrant tapestry woven with life's purest joys.

My parents, like master artists, carefully blended the colours of love, discipline, and encouragement onto the canvas of my life.

With my father's role in the police force, discipline came as a package deal, along with the vivid hues of my upbringing. School life was a whirlwind of playfulness, laughter, and innocent pranks, with each day contributing to the shaping of my nature.

Yet, as life often does, it took an unexpected turn after the twelfth standard.

While my friends ventured into higher studies, I found myself facing rejection after rejection for college admissions. This marked the beginning of a rocky phase — a phase where the sky seemed grey and the wings I needed felt so far away.

In the midst of this turbulence, I found solace in the smoke of cigarettes and the recklessness of a wayward lifestyle.

Despite the challenges, I managed to complete my bachelor's in pharmacy, fueled by determination and my family's unwavering support. Pursuing an M.Sc. (Master of Science) was the next step, followed by a move to Delhi and a return to the arms of my loved ones.

But old habits die hard. The allure of my past lingered, refusing to release its grip. The path to change was steep and thorny, yet the values instilled by my family and their unshakable faith in me propelled me forward, step by step.

And so began my transformation, a journey inspired by the teachings of my mentor, Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, and the practices of the 'Art of Living.' Yoga became my guide, Sudarshan Kriya my anchor, and meditation my sanctuary.

With each breath and each posture, I felt a profound change taking root within me, like the first rays of the sun breaking through a cloudy sky. But this journey wasn't without its sceptics, voices in society casting doubt on my path.

Laughter Yoga became my newfound passion, an unexpected twist in my tale. Breaking free from the chains of addiction, I embraced a path filled with laughter that had been missing from my life.

Through this journey, I touched countless lives, spreading positivity and healing.

Overcoming adversities, I found myself not only transformed but also a source of transformation for others.

More than 14 years have passed since that pivotal moment, and I now stand untethered from addiction, thriving on the addictive energy of laughter.

This journey, this metamorphosis, wouldn't have been possible without the unwavering support of my family, especially my father. In my darkest moments, his belief in me illuminated my path.

Amidst the turbulent tides of life, my partner's steadfast support served as my guiding star. Through the storms and sunny days alike, I rediscovered the power of laughter, a force that rekindled my spirit.

From school auditoriums to bustling institutions, I took 'Laughter Yoga' to diverse platforms, sharing its magic. 'Laughter Therapy' wasn't just a concept; it was a lifeline that revitalised my body and healed my soul.

In a world often marred by depression and gloom, I discovered that the power of laughter could outshine any darkness.

With each twist and turn that life presented, one truth became crystal clear: the simple gift of laughter holds within it the key to happiness and well-being, and it's a gift I'm determined to share with the world.
