This Poem Written By A Son For His Father Is Probably What You Feel As Well

( words)
*For representational purpose only.
With a huge smile on his face and a tear in his eye,

When he saw me for the first time.
I wish I could live that moment for a lifetime.

Napkins, diapers, powder and love, was an equation whose solution was always infinite when he was around.
I wish I could live that moment for a lifetime.

My temperature went high and low at times, my cries were loud enough for the neighbours to shout,
He never said a no for what could make me smile.

I wish I could live that moment for a lifetime.

My first step was all it took that made him high,

My first word that made him reach the cloud nine.
I wish I could live that moment for a lifetime.

Holding the one finger I stood on my feet, he encouraged me to make it big.
So I did, and ran as fast as I could.
I wish I could live that moment for a lifetime.

Day flew past, a child to a teen, a teen to an adult.
It was he who never left my side.
Days became short nights went on till dawn.

He knew it was a part of life.

I wish I could live that moment for a lifetime.

After all my life all I wanted to hear from him is

‘Son I’m proud of you’

Wouldn’t that be fair enough?
