Life Kept Replacing Her Dreams But She Still Didn't Let Them Go; This Is Her Story

*For representational purpose only.

She wanted to be a traveler but she could travel only to her husband’s house.

When she was 10 she found that round globe in the library more fascinating than the chapatties her mother asked her to roll round. She always wondered how it would be like to experience diversity across the world.

As she grew she found her interest in the geography of places, she wanted to explore the world, but back at her home her parents were busy writing her destiny.  When she was pasting the world map on her room’s wall with a sparkle in her eyes, her parents were shortlisting the pictures for her future groom.

Time flew and the map was soon replaced by a couple's  picture and then by a picture with kids. Her dreams never came true and every day once she finished her household work, she sat in the balcony with a cup of coffee and a lot of underachieved dreams. Every time she thought that one day she will just walk away and live her dream, but this could not happen, only the time passed.

Aged, wrinkled and tired she was left alone in an old age home where she bumped into a visitor one day and found herself in every travelling story he shared with her. The meetings increased, every story he shared made her feel more alive, the traveling passion lightened up the aged eyes. One day She asked him if she could go along with him to his next destination to see what it actually feels like after all and then there was no looking back.

After losing everything she found herself again. The girl which was staring at the globe was now living at different places of Globe, the hands who used to do household stuff were now experiencing the tough rocks, the feet which were still strong felt the sand pass with the waves. She found herself in every bit. She discovered herself and the writer in her. A new blog was born out of the experiences.
“Aged but not retired”.

Her passion took her to places she never knew... It made her much more than she wanted to do at the first place.

Dedicated to all the lovely ladies who sacrificed their dreams and passion.
