"Have you forgotten everything?" He asked.

"No I haven’t," she replied, trying hard not to cry.

"Look at me," he cupped her face and said, "I confess that there was a time when I didn't remember a thing that happened between us but now I’m unable to forget those moments."

Each flashback is making me realize how stupid I was.

"I can’t let you go Radhika."

"I care about you Ayush but I don’t love you anymore," she lied.

"You’re lying. I know how much you loved me and cared for me. Please give me one more chance Radhika," he begged.

"Ayush", she took a deep breath and looked into his eyes, "I did love you and I don’t think I can love anyone like that but right now I’m not in love with you."

When I go through those memory lanes, all I can recall are your excuses.

"I remember how you broke my heart into pieces, it reminds me of how helpless I was back then, how I cried myself to sleep. I’m sorry but I think my love for you has faded with time."

"Radhika, please…please don’t say all this… Do you remember the time when we made love on your birthday; you said you could never stop loving me? I still remember every time you kissed me, you loved me even more."

I know I have given you ample excuses then, but now I’m standing right in front of you and I’m hopelessly in love with you."

"I’m sorry," she said and walked away.

"Are you okay?" Neev asked.

"Please take me home," Radhika replied. They drove back to her place.

"Do you need water?" she asked Neev.

"Are you okay?"

"Yes, why won’t I be?"

"Hey, you can tell me, I’m here for you," Neev comforted her.

"I’m fine Neev. I’m just tired," she said.

"If you don’t want to talk about it, I won’t ask you but for now I will give you a tight hug," he said and hugged her tightly. At that moment, she couldn’t stop herself from breaking down.

"Radhika, no matter how much you try to hide it, love doesn’t go away that easily. Please don’t be harsh on yourself."

"I love him Neev, I do. I lied to him that I don’t love him anymore but I am not left with any other alternative."

I don’t trust him anymore. He has broken my heart and my faith every time he came close to me.

"Every time that we had a chance he showed me the picture of why 'we shouldn’t be together' and I’m tired of this helpless feeling. I was tired of his excuses yet I gave us a chance hoping that we will overcome the phase but he proved me wrong each time," she sobbed.

"Radhika, I don’t know if you will find the love you’re looking for but the one thing I would wish for you is that you get to meet that person who loves you for who you are, the person who won’t be afraid to explore your darkest corners."

May you meet the person to whom you can open up without the fear of getting abandoned.

"I pray from my heart that someday you meet someone and fall in love instantly, and loving him will be easy and not this tiresome and difficult," Neev said.

"Thank you for being so nice, Neev."

"You’re welcome. I have to leave now, Sakshi is waiting for me," Neev said.

She opened her Whatsapp and typed “Ayush I love you” in the search tab and went through all the messages. Her feelings and emotions were still the same, nothing had changed.

She could never fall out of love with him but she realized that it has to stop now.

She deleted all his memories and wiped away her tears. She took out a fancy dairy and wrote…

“Dear Diary, ………..”

Her journey begins now.
