My Brother Fought And Got Married To His Love Of 7 Years Who Left Him Right After Their First Night
We are a happy middle class family, I have three siblings, two sisters, and a brother. Our parents drained themselves to take care of us, and all of us have always received equal love from them.
My brother was a very obedient kid, studious and hardworking. He fell in love with a girl when he was in tenth grade, and we never had a hint about it till he turned 22. He suddenly announced that he wanted to get married because his girlfriend’s parents were pressurising her. My mother objected because he was in a hurry, and it was not his age to get married and start a family.
He started emotionally blackmailing us saying he would die if she got married to someone else. My parents had to succumb to his wishes, and that is where things took the wrong turn.Share this quote
The marriage was fixed, all the arrangements were done, but we noticed that the bride’s face showed no signs of happiness, she was looking rather upset. We brushed off the thought because most girls get nervous on their wedding day.
On the first night that my brother and the woman were to spend together, she told us that she was on her periods, and hence, the elders decided it wouldn’t be wise to let them sleep alone, so they slept with everyone else.
Next morning, there was a small function in the house, and during the preparations, we noticed that the bride was missing, and she remained missing for the entire night. We lodged a police complaint, and to our shock, they threatened us because they thought we were mistreating her and hence, she ran away.
My brother started crying in the middle of the road. He was devastated. He was in love with her for seven years, and she was missing on the first day after their wedding.Share this quote
The next day, we found out that she had eloped with another boy. She cheated on my brother, stole all the jewels and ran away with a guy she had met a year ago, something which my brother was unaware of. It felt like an earthquake in our hearts.
My brother lost his mind after that. He cried all the time. He had trusted her more than all of us, and this is what she did to him. He became a drunkard, left his job, and would sleep on the road with beggars. We were all worried for him, but my parents didn’t leave his side. Finally, after 3 years, he moved on, he became our same old little brother, and got well settled in a foreign land. I pray to God that this incident should not happen to my worst enemies.
