I'm A 10-year-old Professional Gamer And I Won't Have It Any Other Way

Professional gaming is not possible for children! Who said so?

Hello, my name is Yuvaan Singh, and I am 10 years old. I enjoy playing video games on my iPad. Let's start from the top.

During the early days of lockdown, when other people took the #SafeHandsChallenge and tried the Dalgona recipe, I discovered my passion for playing video games on my gaming laptop.

Initially, I used to play games like Among Us, Brawl Stars, and Fly or Die, which passed the time and helped me become more synchronized, focused, and socially skilled. I knew I wanted to do something about the games I played. I wanted to be able to show people how to cross levels they hadn't been crossed before. I tried to break records and, most importantly, wanted to try putting myself out there in the hope that the page and channel would grow. On June 3rd, 2021, I took that leap of faith and started my own YouTube Channel, and I doubt anyone was happier than me.

I titled all of my avatars and my 'brand' as YouWeGames. I post game recordings and occasionally even Livestream. I am not a full-time content creator, I balance gaming and academics, and let me tell you, my studies have never suffered at the hands of gaming.

I ensure it doesn't. I enjoy the mix as I can easily strike a balance between the two by sticking to a daily schedule, prioritizing tasks, and taking necessary breaks. Sometimes we genuinely believe we can't manage our passion and schoolwork, but all we need is a chance to prove that we can easily handle both, being kids! I can't thank my parents enough for seeing my potential and supporting me at every turn, not to mention my buddies who played games with me and now support my work.

I'm not sure where my life will lead me, but I want to imagine myself as a young child gamer who inspires other kids to follow their dreams and do what they genuinely like in five years. Having a solid gaming setup from which I can make good material for my followers would do nothing but keep me motivated and dedicated to my profession. It would also serve as a graph to my journey.

I envision myself as having a successful YouTube channel and Instagram page with excellent content and gaming fans. Certain young kid entrepreneurs have accomplished so much at such a young age that I look up to them and I aspire to be on Forbes' 30 under 30 lists and make myself and my family proud.

Quoting Brian Tracey, "Dream big dreams! Imagine that you have no limitations and then decide what's right before you decide what's possible.” I believe the pandemic influenced me greatly and provided me with a fortunate opportunity, but you don't have to wait for a pandemic to take action. Kick that football, hold that brush, play that music, or pick up that controller and get started.

It doesn't matter how old you are or what gender you are; just give it a shot! I love gaming, and I wouldn’t have it any other way.
