I Found Someone Who Is Just Like Me And We Fell In Love: It Happened

Who says only opposites attract? In my love story, we’re similar and that’s what makes us so great together.
We met doing something we both love – photography. We got to know of each other through a Whatsapp group of photographers, and after meeting at a Photo walk, we casually started talking to each other.
Initially, we used to discuss our love for photography. But slowly, as we got to know each other better, our small conversations stretched into longer ones. We were so similar that we couldn’t believe it. It was exciting to find that we had such similar tastes and dislikes, in almost everything.
We were both foodies, we both loved cricket, we loved dancing (but we had never been to a club and we never wished to go to one either). We had similar thoughts in a particular situation and both of us wanted to become CBI officers. Sometimes, while talking about something, we would often say the exact same thing and then be surprised at ourselves, for its rare to share such an amazing bond with someone.
Slowly, as I got to know him better, I fell in love with him. And then, one day, he too confessed his love for me. To my surprise, he told me that he had been in love with me, right from the beginning. That was the best day of my life and I truly believe that getting into a relationship with him was the best decision I've ever made in my life.
In my previous relationship, I was cheated on and was a victim of physical abuse. It left a deep impression on me and coming out of it was very difficult for me.
Instead of running away from my past, one day he asked me to share every bit of it with him. By the end of it, we were both crying. He then asked me to forget all that had happened and promised me that he would love me more than anyone.
He didn’t judge me or my mistakes; he simply accepted them and vowed to love me more for having suffered from them. It's been 8 months since then. We are committed to each other. And yes, I guess I am getting more than I deserve.
People say that a relationship gets boring if you aren’t different from each other. But in our case, as we get to know more and more about each other and our similarities, we keep falling harder for each other.
He is the best thing to have happened to me and I can’t help feeling blessed at this bond that we share. Both of us take efforts to surprise each other and keep each other happy. I know this love is going to last forever.
