Falling In Love With Mr. Stranger Is The Best Thing That Has Happened To Me

It all started with a friend request. I'm from Mumbai, and I was in my final year BMS. It was a dusky evening when it all started. I got a friend request on Facebook. The person was stranger. I went through his profile. He was cute and looked just like Arjun Kapoor, my favourite actor. I accepted it.

After a few minutes, I received a message- it was Mr. Stranger saying 'Hi'. Normally as we all do, I greeted him too. There was a lot of build-up in that conversation, and he finally asked me. "Do you have a boyfriend?"

I had recently came out of a bad relationship experience and was not looking for any more guys to date. So I asked him, "How desperate are you for a girlfriend?"

Even after my harsh words, he was humble to me. We chatted and chatted all day long. Soon, we became best buddies. We never exchanged phone numbers but still felt connected.

One day, I received a love-y message from my ex-boyfriend. He did love me, but his parents made him marry someone else, and he also had a child. Even after that, he messaged me shamelessly. I only replied because I wanted to know why he hadn't stood up for us. But as soon I started talking to him, I felt my anger melting away and I foolishly fell for him again. My stupidity was so large that I even planned to run away with him and waited for him to make arrangements.

I needed a sounding-board for my plan, so I told Mr. Stranger everything. He yelled at me and convinced me not to do what I was about to do, and I'm so glad he did so.

Since then, he and I started meeting regularly. Our friends began teasing us, but I kept telling them that we were only good friends. In between all this, we developed feelings for each other, but we had no guts to accept it.

It all finally happened at a friend's wedding. We both showed up wearing black. We started blushing when we saw each other. After the ceremony, we went for a small drive to Bandra, and he started giving me clues to know if I felt the same way about him. But I was cunning, and I behaved as if I couldn't understand what he was talking about.

He started playing romantic songs on the radio and talked about love, but I ignored all his hints because I wanted to say it to me directly. The next day, I hinted that he should propose. Finally, on December 7th, he did!

A month later, for the first time in our lives, we gave ourselves to each other. I loved him, trusted him, and wanted him. And the month after that, we got married.

My parents were against it, but I'm happily married to my Mr. Stranger. Yes, we got married in just two months, because love isn't a pickle for you to keep it inside for such a long time. Love isn't about age or time, it's about happiness. I picked the right man and I'm grateful to have him.
