I Always See Daughter-In-Law Stories, But This Is My Brother's
We are 2 siblings. My elder brother and I. I was always a pampered child, I got what I wanted from my parents but he was always the quiet, serious one - sabka favorite child. My parents always had a disturbed marriage. Papa was always the trouble maker, he used to beat mummy and made our life hell as he hailed abuses at her.
Since my childhood, my mother told my brother to become a caring husband one day and she had lot of dreams for her daughter-in-law.
He had a long 12-year relationship with a woman and he got married to her. They both had their jobs in Delhi and we were in Rishikesh. After marriage, she started denying to come to our home, giving different excuses every time. Just like this, 6 months passed. Then, my brother started to realise something is odd and he questioned her why she deliberately ignored his parents and she started abusing us, especially my brother.
She came to our house after a lot of chaos, but always stayed in one room. This happened for 3 years and now the situation has worsened so much that today was rakhi, I called him to wish and tie a rakhi virtually and she saw me on video call. But she started abusing and yelling at him that how dare he call me and got a rakhi tied.
After 3 hours of abuse, he called my mother and cried like a baby that he couldn't live like that forever in his life. What's his fault - that she is harassing him so much and he mentioned that he'll commit suicide if this continues.
I don't know what to do. We are in a lockdown and I can't reach him as she broke his phone, I can't lose him. He is more than a father to me.
