I Wish She Was Mine Forever

It was a pleasant summer. I was in my teens. I had just cleared my high school examinations and my father asked me to start preparing for the entrance examination for an integrated law course.

I was an average student and a professional rugby player. But suddenly I had to shift towards my studies and had to leave my passion and emotions attached with sports.

I did it for the sake of my father and I qualified my entrance examination and got admitted in a law college. Unfortunately I couldn’t make it to the university main campus. I was destined to meet the girl of my dreams. I joined the college and started studying law.

One fine day, the door was opened. A breeze dressed in yellow walked in and my heart started beating faster. It was like an arrow made for me. I didn’t even realize before it pierced my heart. I got stuck as though the angel of death had entered in and took my soul away.

My class teacher woke me up. My heart continued beating faster. I thought  that I might get a heart attack. A little innocent face with beautiful eyelashes entered in and settled down on a bench near me. My heart raced faster. I couldn’t control it, I took a deep breath.

Gradually I started to build a friendly relationship with her. I was afraid to express my feelings to her. Finally, I gathered some courage and I told her that I loved her. She had not yet accepted my proposal. But she had not even refused it. She was friendly. We started talking over phone. We start spending time with each other.

One day I offered her to have an ice-cream with me and few other friends. But she refused. I don’t know why. She might have been afraid. I left feeling dejected.

I got a call from one of our classmates and she asked me to come to a restaurant near the girls’ hostel. I did not have enough money to pay the restaurant bills.

I asked my friends for some money. I reached the restaurant. They were waiting for me. She had two friends with her. They were sitting on a table and waiting for me.

She was sitting with her friends with an empty chair waiting for me. I came and settled next to her on that empty chair. It was the best feeling.

I don’t know what went wrong. I don’t know what my fault was. She left me despite me trying to do everything possible to keep her happy.
