I'm Her Best Friend But I Want To Taste Her Fuchsia Pink Lips Without Ruining Our Friendship

 “I’ll be there by 1.”

I replied to her text.

It had been 2,50,500 seconds since I last saw her; 2 days, 21 hours and 35 minutes, to be exact.

I was more than just excited to see her. I could sit for hours, just watching her, as she spoke about everything and anything.

We are the best of friends, but I know that there’s something more just waiting for us around the corner. Only that, we both seem too cautious and shy to find it.

Unfortunately, I was 15 minutes late.

She found me and came and sat next to me.

There was something ethereal about her: she was wearing a beautiful kurta, her ears adorned gorgeous silver pearls, her eyes, lined-dark with kohl and her lips…

I wanted to compliment her, but she would see through it immediately, and so I just teased her about it.

I tried to focus on what she was saying. She was angry that I was late.

But all I could do was stare at those fuchsia pink lips.

She hadn’t applied it well, it was messy, but to me, it was perfect.

“Will you say something or just keep staring at me?” she yelled.

I snapped out of my trance and realized that I should say something.

But she continued talking, and all I could see was the blur of her beautiful lips.

She was smoking a cigarette while talking to me and I asked her to share it with me.

I wanted to taste those fuchsia pink lips, without ruining our friendship.

There’s just something about her, that’s made me realize, that I’ll wait as long as I have to, to make this girl, with the messy lipstick, mine.
