Wherever you are, whatever you are doing, with whomever you are now and who so ever you are, today is Valentine's Day as I am writing this, and I have something to say to you. Today is the day which came out as the result of various inhumane Roman acts and is now one of the few days of the year where we are free to express love, to hold hands and walk, to sit together and dream. The dreams that we desire to be true. The dream of living a moment and not capturing it. The dream of living in a heart and not in a phone's gallery. The dream of hugging each other out whenever we have any misunderstandings and not updating statuses about it.

I don't know who you are, where you are from and what your choices are, but what I know is that I will never force myself on you. My love will be mine. It will never affect any of your decisions.

Your dreams will be yours. You would never need to change them for me. You will be free to do whatever you like. If your best-friends are boys and you want to hang out with them, I wouldn't have any problem. You can go out with them anytime, anywhere you want. You want to work, you can work. You want to sit at home, you can do that. You want to check my phone, you can. You don't want me to check yours, I will respect your privacy. You want to be as you are, you surely can be. I want to trust you. I want to make you a part of me. I, while loving you, will continue to love the same you, without asking you to make any change in you or your habits. Who am I to question them? If I don't do any of these things that I promised to do for you, come to me and tell me to my face that this is not 'love'. I promise you that I will rework my approach towards our relationship then.

You are not a design that I can change anytime I want, nor are you any machine that I can assemble as I want. You are a girl. A girl who doesn't need to change a bit, at least for me. You are free, free to wear whatever you want, go wherever you want to go and do whatever you want to do.

If you don't want me to get close to you or even touch you, tell me directly. I can still love you without touching you even once. If you are in any problem, any day, just come to me and talk. I promise you that I will always be there for you and if I don't, just leave me that very day and walk away. I want to be your friend – a friend who doesn't expect anything from you in return but still cares for you. A friend around whom you can be as real as you are. A friend with whom you can share your worst nightmares and biggest dreams. A friend with whom you can sit and cry. A friend with whom you can feel comfortable.

A friend whom you can trust even when you are blindfolded. A friend whom you can say 'No' to, without hesitation.

For me, love is friendship. Friendship is the highway that leads you to the paradise of love. And, just like the journey is more important than the destination, I feel friendship is more important than love. I want your friendship till my last breath.

I want to sit with you in those years when we would no longer remain young, and our faces would have wrinkles, but our bond would be as young as it was all those decades ago.

I want to be your helpline when anything in your life goes wrong. You should never feel uncomfortable to use that helpline. I don't ever want you or our relationship to be perfect because once something is perfect, we stop working on it. I want to stay by your side and work on it every day. I don't demand you to be a virgin. One or a few fucks can't decide what you mean to me or what you are. At last, I would end this by saying:
