I Met The Love Of My Life After A Year With Her Husband And A Baby Bump
It was drizzling that evening. I was in a rush to change my glasses at a very prominent store in Bangalore. Just as I came out of the shop, there she was right in front of me.
It had been a year then since we had parted ways, but to see her holding someone else's hand, a baby bump, it was like a knife piercing my back. I could see she did not want to let her husband sense anything was wrong. Within a second, she grabbed his hand and was off into one of the stores in the lane.Share this quote
I didn't miss a step either, but kept walking straight ahead as if nothing had happened. The pain never goes away; we were both from different religious backgrounds and of course, she was the eldest of three daughters. Those days parents couldn’t really be persuaded, it was either listen to us or we commit suicide.
It’s been 15 years and I haven’t heard from her, but I really hope she kept her free spirit and don't-give-a-damn attitude intact. That smile, that ability to laugh at life, take things as they come were always her plus points. Guess society played a cruel card in our lives. I wish I had time to say thank you to her, and I hope she is doing wonderfully well.
